DevStats is a service that tracks and visualizes your GitHub contributions. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect.
Data We Collect
When you use DevStats, we collect the following information from your GitHub profile:
- GitHub username and profile ID
- Avatar URL and display name
- Bio information
- Contribution statistics (commits, pull requests, issues, stars, forks, repositories)
This data is fetched directly from the GitHub API and stored in our database to enable leaderboard features and faster loading times.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. This service collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time spent on site, and general geographic location. Google Analytics only runs after you provide consent via our cookie banner.
Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for authentication and session management
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

Data Storage
Your GitHub statistics are stored in a PostgreSQL database. We retain this data to provide leaderboard functionality and historical comparisons. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
